A classic Indian Railways WAP-1 locomotive, number 22071, recorded at Thrissur Railway Station.
This unit belongs to Erode (EDDX) shed and was manufactured by CLW in 1995. The loco carries the retro orange-cream-orange livery with fluorescent panels.
It features air-brake only configuration, rear-view mirrors, squarer windshields, and top-mounted headlamps — a modified version railfans love spotting.
Captured at Thrissur Jn, one of Kerala’s busiest stations on Southern Railway.
