🚂 Join us for a scenic railfanning session along the Peruvemba–Kuzhalmannam road in Kerala’s Palakkad district, as the mighty Chennai–Palakkad Express roars beneath ROB No.127!
This stretch of the Pollachi–Palakkad broad gauge electrified line offers breathtaking visuals but also tells a story of neglect and missed opportunities.
📍 We’re filming from Road Over Bridge No.127, between Pudunagaram and Palakkad Town stations—under Palakkad Division of Southern Railway.
While the bridge is technically safe for public use, poor maintenance, overgrown vegetation, and unsafe pedestrian pathways pose serious concerns.
⚠️ Did You Know?
This route once had 5 regular trains, now reduced to just 3, with only 1 serving all village stations.
Despite spending ₹500–600 crore on gauge conversion & electrification, village stations like Pudunagaram remain under-utilised.
Introducing a MEMU service with halts at all stations could reduce road congestion and help local commuters.
As per latest Announcement from the Southern railways – Indian railways there are lots of new trains and old trains extended to Rameswaran – But NOT a single train from Kerala is on the list. This is injustice. https://bit.ly/4cignSd
