What Happened to Pudunagaram Railway Station After Gauge Conversion?
Pudunagaram Railway Station, once a vibrant stop on the Palakkad–Pollachi line, today stands almost deserted. Train Pass: 05:51 👉 This is the 3rd station after Palakkad Junction and Palakkad Town. It has two long platforms, but after gauge conversion from meter gauge to broad gauge, train services were never fully restored. Before gauge conversion: 8 trains stopped here daily …Now: Only one train halts at odd hours

Villagers along this route urgently need a MEMU service between Palakkad Junction and Pollachi, during morning and evening rush hours, stopping at all stations. This will:
-Provide safe and affordable commuting
-Reduce overcrowded bus dependency
-Ease traffic congestion on Palakkad roads
-Help the common man’s monthly budget
